Henry L. Miller

Henry L. Miller, 90, of Anderson passed away Jan. 31, 2016 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
He was born Aug. 27, 1925, in Michagamme, Michigan, to August and Agnes (Webber) Miller.
They returned to the Peru, Indiana area when Henry was 6 months old He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge.
He married Wilma Hawkins on July 3, 1948. To this union was born one daughter, Victoria "Vickie" Miller. Wilma preceded him in death on July 10, 1950.
On October 20, 1951, he married Mary Powell. They lived in Roann for 39 years. To this union was born six children, Michael, Catherine "Cathy", Richard, Kevin, Paul and William "Bill".
He also was preceded in death by his parents, three sons, Michael, Richard and Paul, five sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, two sons and two daughters, Kevin (Rita) William "Bill" (Kristina), Vickie (Edward) Moyer and Cathy (Jay) Rogers; brother, Stephen (Connie) six grandchildren, Joshua (Amanda) Miller, Christie (Greg) Woodruff, Shannon (Scott) Gress, Kari Miller, Aaron (Tabitha) Miller and Cory Miller; nine great grandchildren with the tenth one due in June; many nieces and nephews.
He attended East Side Church of God and was a member of the Romeo Club at Mounds Mall.
Services will be 3 p.m. on Thursday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Kerry Robinson officiating with military graveside rites will be provided by VFW Post 266 Honor Guard and active duty.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date at Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield.
