WOBURN - Paul J. Duffy, age 63, a supervisor at Home Depot, died Thursday evening, June 16,
at Mass General Hospital, after a courageous fight with cancer. He was the husband of Corrine
A. (Vautour) Duffy, who died in 1995.
He was born in Boston, on August 23, 1941, a son of the late William W. Duffy and Lucy (Gillis)
Duffy. He lived the greater part of his life in Malden, and had attended Malden Vocational High
School. He had lived in Woburn for the last two years.
He was currently employed at the North Reading Home Depot store as the supervisor of the
millwork department.
He is survived by a daughter, Pamela Nies of Tewksbury, a brother and sister-in-law, William W.
Duffy Jr. and Maureen (Fama) of Tewksbury; two sisters, Jean Lloyd of Townsend and Barbara
Saunders of Derry, NH; and one granddaughter, Mackenzie Nies of Tewksbury.
He was also father-in-law of the late Edward Nies.
His Funeral Mass
was held Monday, June 20, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery,
Everett. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Mackenzie Fund, c/o Banknorth, 2171 Main St.,
Tewksbury, MA 01876 will be appreciated.
