Bernice Helen (Larimore) Cook, 94 passed away Friday January 29, 2016 at Regency health Center. Born in Hart County and grew up in Louisville. She was known for her kindness, generosity, caring for others and her contagious laugh and smile.
She was dearly devoted to her family and friends. She sang in the choir, played piano and taught Sunday School at Immanuel United Methodist Church. She was a welder during and after WWII at Henry Vogt and Vogt Bros. She is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Mary Larimore, brothers Delferd and Glenn Larimore, husband Thomas “Dink” Cook, grandsons Donnie Shircliffe Joey Wilson and son-in-law Donald “Peanuts” Shircliffe..
She is survived by her daughters: Joyce Shircliffe and Debbie Marion (Preston). Seven grandchildren Laurie Smith, John Shircliffe, Cherri Brown, Kim Shircliffe, Devin Borders and Brian Borders. Great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Alex, Matthew, Julia, Tai, and Thomas. Her funeral will be 4pm Sunday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy, Visitation 12pm to 4pm on Sunday with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Monday
