Obituary

Amelia P. Chiotasso (Hindy) age 83 of Weymouth passed away at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Born and raised in Boston, she attended Boston Schools. As a teenager, she and her brother George owned and operated the Red Top Diner in S. Boston. She later worked as an Office Supervisor for the Suffolk Superior Civil Court for 25 years before retiring. In her free time she enjoyed working in the garden and spending time with her family. Beloved mother of Stephanie Gramer and Leslie Chiotasso both of Weymouth. Sister of Barbara Ciarlone of Weymouth and the late Robert Hindy, Beatrice Kelley, George and Fred Hindy. Grandmother of Michael Gramer and his wife Randi Taylor of N.H. and Justin Chiotasso of Weymouth. Aunt of Maureen and John Mastrogiacomo of Weymouth and several other nieces and nephews. Funeral mass at St. Agatha Church Milton Monday morning at 10:30. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Monday morning prior to the mass from 8:30 to 10:00 am. Burial Mt. Benedict Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the American Lung Assn 460 Totten Pond Rd Suite 400 Waltham, MA 02451.
