Kenneth “Ken” P. Murphy, 52, of Franklin died January 25 in his home following an illness.
Born in Boston, June 22, 1963, the son of the late William and Mildred (Fagan) Murphy, Mr. Murphy had lived for most of his life in Franklin.
He was a 1981 graduate of Franklin High School.
Mr. Murphy had worked for 32 years for the Star Market - Shaw’s Supermarkets most recently as a department manager of the Franklin store.
Ken enjoyed all Boston sports teams. He also enjoyed cooking and trips to Oceanpark, Maine.
He is survived by his daughter Allison Murphy.
He is also survived by his siblings, William Murphy and his wife Nancy of Mansfield, David Murphy and his wife Jacqueline of Westboro, Colleen Murphy of Orleans, Kathleen Dacey and her husband John of Franklin and Chris Murphy of McKinney, Texas.
He is also survived by 2 grandchildren.
His funeral will be held on Friday, January 29 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 p.m.
