WAYLAND: Robert E. “Bob” Small, 74, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 following a courageous battle with kidney disease.
He was born in Waltham on October 25, 1941 the son of the late Edgar Small and Katherine (Brennan) Small.
Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Carol A. (Norton) Small of Wayland. Beloved father of Susan A. Andrew and her husband Brad of Altoona, PA and Deborah A. Center and her husband Frank Zerola of Wayland. Cherished grandfather of Caryse Center of Wayland, Kayla Center of Wayland and Cameron Andrew of Altoona, PA.
Bob has been a resident of Wayland for the past 47 years and spent his formative years in Waltham where he was educated. He retired after a successful career as an automotive appraiser with Century Insurance Company. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather to his family.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Private services will be held at the convenience of his family.
