
LOWELL—Catherine (Reid) Stevens, 98 years old, a longtime resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell, died Monday morning at the Fairhaven Nursing Home.
She was born in Lowell, on April 27, 1907, a daughter of the late Michael and Ellen (Fleming) Reid, and was the wife of the late Elmer C. Stevens, who died in 1962. She was a graduate of Lowell Public Schools and Lowell High School.
Mrs. Stevens had worked at Lowell Electric Light, Byam Brothers Insurance, and as a billing manager for the late Dr. Bouchard.
Surviving her are a daughter: Judy Stevens, of Lowell; a son and daughter-in-law: John and Nancy Stevens, of Boston; two grandchildren and their spouses: Amy E. and David Pittelli; and David R. and Kerry Stevens; four great-grandchildren: Catherine Pittelli; Alexander Pittelli; Patrick Reid Stevens and Finley R. Stevens; also several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, from 4 until 7 PM on Wednesday, June 15th. Her Funeral Mass to be offered Thursday June 16th, at 9 AM at the SHRINE OF ST. RITA, Mammoth Road, Lowell. Burial in the Edson Cemetery.
