Raymond Cartier, 73, of Pleasant View Avenue, Smithfield, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at his home. He was the husband of Virginia Cartier.
Born in Fall River, MA he was a son of the late Normand and Louise (Kuras) Cartier. He had lived in Smithfield for 32 years. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
He was a security guard at Amica Insurance in Lincoln before retiring. He had previously worked at Anderson-Little for many years. He was a member of the Young Pannese Social Club and a former member of the Lions Club for many years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Jeffrey Cartier and his wife, Lisa of Smithfield , Mary Lou Cartier-Provenzano and her husband, Louis of Barrington, Christine Uralowich of Wakefield and Paula Peloquin and her husband, Brian of Woonsocket, his four granddaughters: Cayla, Jordan, Lauren and Hailey and a brother of Albert Cartier of Fall River, MA.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday 10am in Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Rt 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial private. Visitation Friday 4-7pm.
