LOWELL—Luz M. Rivera, 72 years old, a resident of Lowell for the past 36 years, died, May 29th, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, in Boston, after a long illness.
She was born in Comerio, Puerto Rico, on March 25, 1933, a daughter of the late Flor and Angelina (Burgos) Rivera, and was educated in Puerto Rico. She moved to the Lowell in 1968, and has resided here since.
Surviving her are four daughters: Lydia Gomez, Luz Torres, Maritza Colon and Mildred Vargas, all of Lowell; three sons: Ruben Molina, Jr., Angel Molina, and Marical Colon, all of Lowell; two brothers: Juan Rivera, of Puerto Rico, and Flor Rivera, of Lowell; three sisters: Delia and Hilda Rivera, both of Puerto Rico; and Virginia Rivera, of Lowell; 21 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, from 4 until 8 PM on Wednesday, June 1st. Her Funeral Mass to be offered Thursday June 2nd, at 10 AM at ST. PATRICK’S CHURCH, Lowell. Burial in the Westlawn II Cemetery.
