SWANSEA – Dean H. Burton, age 64, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family after fighting a long courageous battle with lung and pancreatic cancer on January 14, 2016. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late John F. and Esther E. (Healy) Burton. He was the loving husband of Janet C. (Blondin) Burton. Dean enjoyed boating, fishing and spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren, as well as his dog Brillo. Prior to retirement he worked as an auto body technician for over 45 years.
Besides his wife he leaves behind his children Dean R. Burton (wife Christine) of Providence and Tracy Lavoie (husband Kevin) of Swansea; sister Sandra Carrier (husband Ray) of Swansea; grandchildren Devin Lavoie and Daniel Burton, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Burton (surviving wife Barbara).
