HOUSTON, TEXAS - Alberta L. Davidson, 95, of Houston, formerly of Salem, MA and wife of the late John E. “Jack” Davidson, died in Houston, September 15, 2004 following a short illness.
Born in Salem on April 28, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Eliza Jane “Bessie” (Patterson) Lawrence. She was a lifelong resident of Salem until May, 1999 when she relocated to Houston, Texas to reside with her only child, John Peter Davidson and his wife Patricia.
Prior to her retirement, Alberta was employed at Daniel Low’s for many years.
She was an active member of the Woman’s Friend Society and the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, both of Salem.
In addition to her son and daughter-in-law, she is survived by two grandchildren, Kristin Davidson and Mark Davidson & his wife Chu Hyon, three great grandchildren, Jonathon, Hannah and Jenna.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 24 St. Peter St., Salem, at 10 AM on Thursday, June 16, 2005. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
