Belmont, NH-----John David “Mac” McDonald, 55, of Bean Hill Road, died at home on Friday, January 8, 2016.
John was born on January 11, 1960 in Waltham, MA the son of Thomas McDonald. Prior to living in Belmont, NH for the past 14 years, he had been a resident of Lynn and Newton, Mass.
John was as a self employed auto mechanic. He liked to restore cars and machines, putting together model cars, watching auctions and restoring car shows on TV. He loved being in his garage working on cars with his sons. John touched a lot of people’s lives in so many ways. He was a father figure to most around him. He was always so full of life, always voiced himself. Most of all John loved being with his family.
John is survived by three sons, Chris Hingey and his wife, Tasha, of Laconia, Johnathan Hingey and Patrick McDonald, of Belmont, three grandchildren, Michael, Ella, and Silas Hingey; his father Thomas McDonald of Stuart, FL; his mother Mary Jean McDonald of Newton, Mass; two sisters, Debbie and Lisa McDonald; two nephews, Jerome and Justin Bowen; three nieces, Jada Bowen, Veronica and Melanie Rosenblatt and his former wife and caretaker Jill McDonald. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his twin brother Timothy McDonald.
Calling Hours will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00pm at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia NH using the Carriage House Entrance. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00pm.
