Cangiano, Angela M. (D’Orlando)- Of Medford, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2016 at home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 99. Angela was born and raised in Revere, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Concetta D’Orlando. She was the beloved wife of the late Emanuel Cangiano. Devoted mother of Loretta Franceschi and her late husband David and Margaret Spinale of Medford.
Angela graduated from Revere High School in 1933 and was employed as a bookkeeper at the Revere Insurance Agency for over 30 years. Angela enjoyed planning her high school reunions with classmates, the last reunion held was her 70th high school reunion. Angela lived her life to the fullest. She was an amazing cook, loved her crafts, playing cards, bowling and truly enjoyed her many adventures out with her best friend, the late Ruthie Center. She stayed on top of current events by reading the newspaper from cover to cover everyday. Angela was a strong woman with a huge heart, she loved to talk and was always visiting with her family and friends.
Angela leaves so many special family & friends behind. She was the loving grandmother of Paul Franceschi and his wife Jennie, Angela Franceschi and Matthew O’Brien, Maria Sheppard and her husband Chris, Deanna Feroli, John Spinale and his wife Patricia. Loving great-grandmother to Lilly, Matthew, Alexis, Michael, Nicholas, Ryan, Anna, Johnny, Jake, Alaina and soon to be born Gabriella. Dear sister of Marguerite Nott, Ellie Fleet, the late Catherine Guardino, Louise Tartaro, Albert and Rose D’Orlando. Angela is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Friday, January 15th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
