Obituary

Elinor "Ellie" (Terzian) Weaver, 82, of Marion died Monday June 13, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas C. Weaver.

Born in Highland Park, Michigan, the daughter of the late Haig and Agnes (Nourjian) Terzian, she had lived in Fairhaven and Marion for most of her life.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Marion, where she was a former Deaconess.

Mrs. Weaver was the proprietor of AA Answering Service, which she operated for many years. She had previously been employed as a telephone operator for the Acushnet Company before founding her own company.

She was an avid bridge player.

Survivors include three daughters, Leslye Ribeiro, and her husband Carl, of Marion, Donna DeBalsi, and her husband Robert, of Fairhaven, and Janis Foster of Newcastle, NH; a son, John T. Weaver, and his wife Karen, of Haymarket, VA; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Barbara Sullivan, and sister of the late Lucy Bobola and Dorothy Haworth.

Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday June 16, 2005 at 10 AM in the First Congregational Church of Fairhaven, 34 Center Street, Fairhaven. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marion. Visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Wednesday June 15, 2005 from 4-7 PM.
