Rosemarie Murphy, 82, of Douglas Avenue, North Providence, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at the Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the widow of Michael Paul “Duke” Murphy, Jr.
Born in Brookly, NY, she was a one of five children of the late Anthony and Minnie (Saladino) LoDolce. She had lived in North Providence for many years.
Rosemarie worked as a secretary for the Rockefeller family as well as several offices in Manhattan. She loved the city life. She was a great cook and loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed going to Twin River Casino. She was upbeat and always happy. She was never affected by everyday negativity in life. She just moved forward every single day.
She is survived by her two daughters: Kathleen Licata and her husband, Anthony of Danielson, CT and Rosemarie Tocci and her husband, Mike of Chepachet, her grandchildren: Joseph, Christina, Kathleen and Anthony Licata and Christopher Priestley, her great grandchildren: Isabell and Joseph Licata and Christopher and Morgan Priestley and her sisters: Catherine and Josephine McClurg. She will always live in their hearts.
Graveside service at Highland Memorial Park , Johnston Friday at 10am.
