Mrs. Louise M. (White) Menard, of Taunton, died Thursday, January 7 in the Golden Living Center – Wedgemere following a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond L. Menard. She was born 90 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Thomas) White. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Louise was a member of the David F. Adams Post #611 Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was a communicant of St. Nicholas of Myra Parish in North Dighton.
She leaves: 1 son: Robert F. Menard and his wife, Sherrill of Taunton; 1 daughter: Pamela A. Avilla and her husband, Frank of Florida; 1 sister: Joanne Arruda, of Raynham; 6 grandchildren: Robert Menard, Jr., Lisa Costa, Sara Cushman, Jill Attardo, Frankie Avilla and Brian Avilla; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Louise was also the mother of the late Richard P. “Ricky” Menard and the sister of the late Marguerite Rusconi and Stella Silveira.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Tuesday, January 12 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Nicholas of Myra Church, No. Dighton, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted.
