Betty (LeBoeuf) Corbett, 89, of New Bedford died January 8, 2016 at Morton Hospital after a period of declining health.
She was the wife of the late James E. Corbett.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Albert N. and Katherine V. (Sullivan) LeBoeuf, she lived in New Bedford all her life.
Mrs. Corbett was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.
She was formerly employed by Merchants National Bank and later worked in the City Clerk's Office at New Bedford City Hall for 22 years.
Mrs. Corbett was a graduate of New Bedford High School, class of 1944 and Campbell's Secretarial School, class of 1945.
She was a member of State, County and Municipal Employees of Massachusetts. Mrs. Corbett's most cherished moments were spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, James E. Corbett Jr. and his wife Karen and Patricia A. Corbett, all of Lakeville, and Paul T. Corbett and his companion Anna Maltais of New Bedford; four grandchildren, Seamus E. Corbett and his wife Suzanne, Liam P. Corbett and his wife Nicole, Katherine L., and Brendan K. Corbett; four great-grandchildren, Aurora N., James E. IV, Owen L. and Maximus D.S. Corbett; three nieces and a nephew.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Carole LeBlanc, the sister of the late Frank E. and Paul A. LeBoeuf and the sister-in-law of the late Gertrude LeBoeuf.
Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, January 14th at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, January 13th from 4-8 PM.
