David F. McLaughlin, 95, of Dartmouth, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Thursday, January 7, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was husband of the late Thelma I. (Chace) McLaughlin.
Born in Dartmouth, son of the late Frank A. and Jennie L.T. (Greene) McLaughlin, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. A veteran of WWII, he served his country in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a self employed sawyer and farmer. Mr. McLaughlin attended the First Church of Nazarene, New Bedford and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Survivors include a son: Andrew F. McLaughlin of Ann Arbor, MI; 2 daughters: Ann E. McGraw and her husband John of St. Augustine, FL and Faith I. McLaughlin of Dartmouth; 3 grandchildren: Ethan McLaughlin, Bethany Bagbey and Laura McLaughlin; and 2 great grandchildren: Brennan Bagbey and Chloe Bagbey.
He was father of the late Dana H. McLaughlin.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, January 11, 2016 at First Church of Nazarene, New Bedford at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 2 - 5 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Interment in Maple Grove Cemetery, Westport.
