Marion H. Shaw
Longtime member of Tewksbury United Methodist Church
TEWKSBURY: Marion H. (Haas) Shaw, age 84, a resident of Billerica for 50 years, formerly of Tewksbury, passed away at Wingate of Belvidere on Wednesday, January 6, 2016.
She was the beloved wife of the late John A. Shaw, who passed away on January 10, 2011 and the late George L. Fay, Jr., who passed away on November 18, 1956.
Born in Cambridge on December 26, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Frank Haas and the late Helen A. (Chikowski) Haas.
Marion was raised in Tewksbury, attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1949.
Prior to her retirement, she worked at the Country Chef Restaurant in Wilmington for many years.
Marion was an active member and supporter of the Tewksbury United Methodist Church, and had served as a member of the Martha Mary Group.
In addition, she was a former member of the Woburn American Legion Women’s Auxiliary.
Marion is survived by two children, George L. “Terry” Fay of Englewood, FL and Candice Reale and her husband John of Woburn; her aunt, Elsie (Haas) Howell of Tewksbury; also numerous extended family members and friends.
Calling hours are Saturday, Jan. 9, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury, followed by her Funeral Services at 12 Noon at the Tewksbury United Methodist Church, 2335 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Following cremation, interment will be at Tewksbury Cemetery. At the request of the family, kindly Omit Flowers.
