Obituary

DUDLEY – Regina J. Sielawa, 82, formerly of Sixth Avenue, died Sunday, December 27, 2015 in Webster Manor after a period of declining health.
She leaves a sister, Anna T. Sielawa of Dudley; nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Rita Sielawa, Jessie Wisniewski, Theresa Sczepanski and Marie Sielawa and by 3 brothers, Ernest, Joseph and Leon Sielawa.
She was born in Dudley, the daughter of Ignatius and Helen (Kozlowski) Sielawa and lived there until moving to Webster 3 years ago. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1950.
She first worked as a secretary for William Cassidy and Atty. David Sullivan. She was the organist at Saint Andrew Bobola Church in the early 1960’s and then at Saint Joseph Basilica in Webster for over 30 years, retiring in 1995.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. Her life was grounded in her Catholic faith. In the 1970’s, she organized the devotions to Our Lady of Fatima held on the thirteenth of each month from May to October. She also was a weekly adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel for many years. She loved playing the piano and organ for her family and friends.
The funeral will be held, Saturday, May 7, at 10:00 A.M. in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street, Webster. The Rosary will be recited at 9:45 A.M. prior to the Mass. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to either St. Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570 or to St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., PO Box 98, Dudley, MA 01571. Arrangements are under the direction of Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster.
