TEWKSBURY - Mr. Robert William “Bob” McGuire, age 55, a Tewksbury businessman, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 5, at Lowell General Hospital’s Saints Campus, after suffering an apparent heart attack at his home. He was the beloved husband of Beth Ann (Bouffard) McGuire, with whom he had celebrated a 12th wedding anniversary this past October 11th.
Bob was born in Malden, on July 4th, 1960, a son of the late Arlene E. McGuire, and was raised in Lynn. He graduated from the Greater Lynn Vocational Technical High School as a machinist. He lived in Lynn until moving to Tewksbury 28 years ago. As a resident of Lynn, he was active in the West Lynn Little League as a player and later as a coach. Since moving to Tewksbury he was active in the Tewksbury Youth Baseball League, where he coached the KC Royals, and the Tigers teams. Bob was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox. He had recently begun to volunteer at the Tewksbury Community Pantry as a way to “give back” to his community.
He was remembered as a “great father” who “loved his role as a father,” by his beloved sons.
Bob was the founder and owner of Shipright Manufacturing company in Tewksbury.
Besides his beloved wife, he leaves two sons, Ryan Devlin McGuire and his wife Carli (Syndram) of Derry, NH, and Brendan Donovan McGuire and his spouse Jeanine Coelho of Tewksbury; his adored four month old granddaughter, Joslyn Arlene McGuire; two nephews, Daniel and Philip Belliveau of Hawaii, the sons of his late sister, Donna Carol Belliveau; his aunts and uncles, Anne and Russell Brown of FL, Elaine Dunkerley of No. Stratford, NH, Paul and Theresa McGuire of Melrose, Richard McGuire of Somersworth, NH, Eric and Theresa McGuire of Nashua, NH; many cousins; and was also predeceased by his beloved grandmother, Ann Sullivan, formerly of Westford.
Relatives and friends will be received Saturday, January 9, from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph.
