FALL RIVER - Edward M. Lindo, 77, of 39 Fern St., Fall River, formerly of Coolidge St., Fall River, Entered into rest on Wednesday at St. Anne’s Hospital. He was the husband of Bertha “Betty” (Silva) Lindo.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Joseph Lindo and the late Antonia (Correia) Lindo. He was a life long resident of Fall River. Before retiring, he worked lastly as a Tool & Die Setter at B.A. Ballou of East Providence. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. He was a member of Holy Name Church
Besides his wife of Fall River, he is survived by: One Daughter: Claudia Martin of Fall River, MA, One Brother: John Lindo of Fall River, MA, One Sister: Mary Aguiar of Fall River, MA, One Granddaughter and One Great Granddaughter, & Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Antone and Manuel Lindo, Joseph Lindo Mello, Irene Branco, Gilberta Travers, and Edith Souza.
His funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St. on Saturday at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Name Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery. Calling hours are omitted.
