Obituary

Alfred “Al” M. Pasquino, 91, of Franklin died January 1, at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries he sustained in an auto accident. He was the husband of the late Catherine (Lydon) Pasquino who died in 2007.
Born in Franklin, June 2, 1924, the son of the late Michael A. and Anna (Giardino) Pasquino, Mr. Pasquino was a lifelong Franklin resident.
A machinist, he had operated Al’s Machine Shop in Franklin until the time of his death. He was a member of the Wrentham Sportsman’s Club.
Mr. Pasquino served in the Marine Corps during World War II attaining the rank of Corporal.
Al was a sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was devoted to his children and took great pleasure from his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Kathleen M. Corriea of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Michael A. Pasquino and his wife Diane of West Yarmouth, Stephen E. Pasquino of Franklin, Elaine L. Young and her husband George of Hebron, New York and Nancy A. Maltais and her husband Tom of Apex, North Carolina.
He is also survived by his brothers Camillo Pasquino and Robert Pasquino of Franklin and the late Caroline Lavoie, Lawrence Pasquino and Anne Pasquino.
He was the cherished grandfather of Jason, Mark, Jonathan, Steven Pasquino, Cara, Ross Pasquino and Natalie Maltais and the late Jenna Pasquino and the great-grandfather of Isabella, Michael, and Ethan and was eagerly awaiting a new great-grandchild in May.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 7 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin(www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin ,from 4- 8 p.m.
Services will be private.
The family asks that flowers be omitted and donations be made in his memory to the charity of one’s choice.
