Julie Lynn Scribner
December 15, 1967 – December 30 2015
Julie Lynn (Richardson) Scribner, 48, of Anderson passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 after an extended illness.
She was born on December 15, 1967 in Scottsburg, Indiana, to Cliff and Kay (Hardy) Richardson. She was a graduate of Alexandria Monroe High School class of 1986 and Indiana University class of 1990 with a B.A. in Elementary Education, she also earned her Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities from Ball State University.
On July 28th, 1990 Julie married her High School Sweetheart, Matt Scribner and together they had two children, Bailee Renee Scribner, a sophomore at Purdue University and William Alexander (Alex) Scribner, a senior at Lapel High School.
Julie taught in the Indianapolis Public School Corporation for 7 years and for the last 12 years taught 1st grade at the Lantern Road Elementary School in the Hamilton Southeastern School Corporation.
She was a member of the Alexandria First Baptist Church.
Julie was a loving and devoted wife and mother, her sweet smile, infectious laugh and gracious spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Matt Scribner of Anderson, daughter Bailee and son Alex both of Anderson, parents Cliff and Kay Richardson of Pendleton, sister Jennifer (Tim) Borgerding of Elizabethtown, KY, grandmother Jenny Hall of Jeffersonville, mother and father in-law William and Deanna Scribner of Alexandria, sisters in-law Paige (Michael) Arnett, Collette (Michael) Rohrbacher, Summer (Danny) Stansberry, all of Alexandria and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy Hardy and Ed and Etta Richardson; uncles, Larry Hardy and Rodney Carter.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 3:00PM Saturday January 2nd, 2016 at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service located at 229 S Rangeline Rd Anderson, IN, with Steve Wilkinson officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Saturday prior to the services.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society.
