Joyce Carol Scott, 72, of Mystic, passed away Monday December 28, 2015. Born Feb. 23, 1943, she was the daughter of James A.C. Fusaro and Mary Olcowick Fusaro. Raised in Mystic; she attended St. Bernard's High School in New London, CT. and graduated from the former Chandler School for Women in Boston, MA. She married George W. Scott in 1964 and had three children.
Joyce had a passion for interior design, the arts and was a talented painter. She loved people, entertaining, dancing, and the beach, especially Sarasota, FL.
Joyce is survived by her children Gordon Scott, 50, of Madison, WI, Dana Scott, 48, and his wife Kellie Marie Scott from Pawcatuck, and daughter Natalie Scott, 46, of New York, NY. She is also survived by her brothers, Lawrence Fusaro, Jaime Fusaro, Dennis Fusaro and sisters- in- law, Bambi Fusaro, Donna Scott and Debbie Lopes, as well as many loving friends. She leaves behind two beautiful grandchildren, Zachary Scott, 14, and Lila Scott, 7.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11am at the Union Baptist Church, 119 High St., Mystic.
