Robert J. “Bob” Scipione, 59, passed away after a brief illness December 23. He was the husband of Marie (Lavallee) Scipione.
Born in Plymouth, January 19, 1956, the son of the late Roy J. and Louise M. (Black) Scipione, he had lived in Franklin for most of his life.
He was a1974 graduate of Franklin High School and also graduated from Northeastern University in 1979 with a B.S. in Business.
Bob had been a purchasing manager for several large paper companies.
Bob was an avid fan of the Boston sports teams. He loved keeping his car clean but he especially loved the time spent with his family.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Christine (Scipione) Tolson and her husband Gregory of Warwick, Rhode Island and Robert “Robby” Scipione of Franklin.
He is also survived by his brother Roy J. Scipione Jr. and his wife Joanne of Franklin and Joan M. Leland and her husband Jeffrey of Shrewsbury.
His funeral will be held on Thursday, December 31, from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street, Franklin at 9:15 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s memory may be made to St. Mary’s St. Vincent de Paul Society, 1 Church Square,Franklin,MA 02038.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
