Derry NH- Catherine A. Segreti of Derry NH, passed away unexpectedly at Parkland Medical Center on Thursday, December 24th. She was born in Nashua, NH, on February 23, 1960. She was the daughter of the late Norman and Aurlene (Sanford) Homoleski of Brookline, NH.
She is survived by her Husband, Ronald Segreti, her son, Tyrus Segreti of Derry, three step children Michele Riffle of Derry, Joseph Segreti of Long Island NY, and Renee Reardon of Baytown TX. Also, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, many nieces and nephews, god children and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Norman Homoleski Jr., two sisters Catherine Homoleski and Robin Menchion. Also her best friend growing up Linda Creighton.
After graduating from Hollis High School, she went on to go to school at Southern Maine Community College for Waste Water Treatment, where she then went to work for the towns of Nashua and Derry. Her favorite career was being the before and after daycare Director for Grinnell Elementary school for over 17 years. Catherine loved going to Wells Beach, Maine every summer where she would walk the beach with family and friends and enjoy delicious seafood. She loved smelling the lilacs from the bushes in her front yard that she transplanted from her parent’s house. She enjoyed spending time with her best friend Thea and her godchildren. She loved whenever all of her family would have get togethers. The last couple of years she started gardening with her son Tyrus and daughter Michele, where they would plant tons of flowers and organic vegetables. She loved snuggling with her dogs Shirley and Chigi, and cats Pipsqueek and Cezar.
She recently started going back to church at St. Thomas Aquinas in Derry. Catherine would never let you leave her house until she got a hug. Some of the many things people loved about Catherine includes her being silly and laughing, her selfless acts to make other people happy, the comfort and support she provided people, and her constant reminder of the love she had for people.
Catherine’s wake will be held at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, NH on Monday, December 28th, 2015 from 5-8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at Brookline Chapel, 36 Main Street, Brookline, NH 03033. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brookline.
