Maria Domenica (Scenna) Cipollone of Medford died on Wednesday, December 23, at the Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Born and raised in Orsogna, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Carmina (Iocco) Scenna. As a teenager Maria moved to Somerville, then settled in Medford in 1975.
She was the beloved wife of the late Camillo Cipollone and the devoted mother of Domenic Cipollone and his partner Kathleen AuCoin of Wilmington. Maria was the loving sister of Angela Francescucci and her late husband Nicola of Burlington, the late Anna Scenna, and Mary Mastrocola and her late husband Robert of Reading. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Ida D'Angelo and her late husband Nicola of Medford, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, December 29, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, December 28, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
