DOUGLAS – Judith (LeBoeuf) Bachand, 80, died Monday, December 21, 2015 in Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard after being stricken ill at home. Her husband of 60 years, Gerald R. Bachand, died October 22, 2015.
She leaves 2 brothers, Emile LeBoeuf of Tennessee and Raymond LeBoeuf of North Carolina; a sister, Jeanne Marcinczyk of Webster; nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews; and a close friend and care giver, Nancy Morin of Douglas.
Judy was born and raised in Webster, the youngest of the 15 children of Rudolph and Florida (Blanchard) LeBoeuf and she moved to Douglas in 1956. She attended the commercial course at Saint Anne’s School and graduated from Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Bachand first worked as a cutter at Bates Shoe Company. She was an office clerk at Sandlerette Shoe Company and then at Eagle Sheet Metal in Webster, retiring in 1991.
Judy was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Webster. She enjoyed camping with her husband every summer and attending the Big E in Springfield yearly.
The funeral will be held Monday, December 28, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 16 East Main St., Webster. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Monday in the funeral home.
