Rino M. Moriconi of Malden died on Saturday, December 19. Raised and educated in Medford, he was the son of the late Abramo and Nunziata (Parma) Moriconi. After proudly serving in the US Army during the Korean War, Rino returned to Medford, owning and operating a restaurant. In the late 1970's he moved to Tampa, Florida, where he lived for 30 years before returning to Massachusetts.
Rino was the devoted father of Mark Moriconi of East Boston, Denise Moriconi of Malden, Paul Moriconi Cairns and his husband Stephen of Marshfield. He was the brother of the late Natalie Loiacono, Peter, John and George Moriconi, and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, on Wednesday, December 23 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, December 22, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
