Obituary

Edna L. (Daggle) Cole, 92, of Whitman, formerly of Easton and Holbrook, died December 19th at her home surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the Henry E. Cole. Born in Littleton New Hampshire; daughter of the late Joseph and Annie (Wallace) Daggle. She grew up in Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School.

Edna was the loving mother of Richard Cole and his wife Carol, Marjorie Ponder and her late husband Charles, Deborah Murray and her husband Thomas, Janice Lawrence and her husband Edward and Robert Cole. She was the Nana to 19 grandchildren, Nana Nana to 29 great-grandchildren and Great Nana Nana to 1 great- great grandchild.

Edna raised her family in Holbrook with her husband Hank. She was a wonderful and caring mother who loved spending time with her family. Later she moved to South Eastern where she participated in tennis and golf. She was an avid tennis player into her eighties. In her younger years she was the All New England Tennis Champion. Some of her favorite times were traveling and vacationing with her daughters. Edna will be remembered for her great smile, caring personality, her quick wit and love of family.

Her funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 23rd at 8:15AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St (RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9:00AM in the Holy Ghost Church, Whitman. Burial will follow in the Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday December 22nd from 5:00-8:00PM.
