Gill of West Bridgewater June 7, 2005, Paul L. Gill, Jr., 24 years. Son of Paul L. Gill, Sr. and Paula J. (Garrity) Gill. Stepson of Ronni S. Galvin. Brother of Mathew M. Gill, Melissa, Marily, Christopher, Richie and the late Jeffrey Doherty. Nephew of Thomas, Nancy and Tina. Grandson of William L. Gill and the late Grayce M. Gill and Charles and Dorothy Garrity.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, W. Bridgewater at 10 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 pm.

Obituary

Paul L. Gill, Jr. died Tuesday morning at the New England Medical Center, Floating Hospital after a lengthy battle with Leukemia and bone marrow transplant. He was born in Stoughton, son of Paul L. Gill, Sr. of W. Bridgewater and Paula J. (Garrity) Gill of San Francisco, CA. Paul was raised in Brockton and West Bridgewater, graduate of West Bridgewater High School Class of 2000 while a student at West Bridgewater, he was a member (#71) of the football team which won the super bowl in 1999. He attended Bay State College and was currently a student at Massasoit Community College working towards his Associate Degree in business.
He enjoyed stock trading, traveling, music, fitness and working on his car and was currently writing a book titled “You Have No Idea” which was geared towards children explaining his thoughts and experiences with Leukemia. He was an exceptional youth, who had a zest for life and was always giving and helping people. He was a volunteer Camp Counselor at several various camps for cancer and was always there for everyone when they needed him. He was his father’s hero.

He is survived by his father, Paul L. Gill, Sr. of W.Bridgewater, his mother Paula J. (Garrity) Gill of San Francisco,CA, a stepmother, Ronni S. Galvin of W. Bridgewater, 3 brothers, Mathew M. Gill of W. Bridgewater, Christopher Mantos of Milford, Richie Ambreault of New Bedford, 2 sisters, Melissa Doherty of Cambridge and Marily Doherty of Taunton, his uncle Thomas Gill and two aunts, Nancy Gill and Tina MacLaren, his grandfather William L. Gill of Brockton, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Brother of the late Jeffrey Doherty and grandson of the late Grayce M. Gill and Charles and Dorothy Garrity.
