Obituary

Virginia “Ginny” (Crowley) Curtin, age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Formerly a resident of E. Bridgewater & Readville, Mrs. Curtin was a graduate of Medford High School, Carney Hospital School of Nursing and St. Joseph College in Maine. She retired after a 65 year nursing career, including the Director of Surgical Nursing at the Carney Hospital. She was a Past President of Carney Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae, a former member of St. Anne Sodality, Readville & MONE. The beloved wife of the late Henry J. Curtin, (Ret. BPD) she is survived by her devoted children; Margaret M. “Mimi” Conklin & her husband Kevin of E. Bridgewater, Virginia ‘’Ginger” Capasso & her husband Fred of Reading, Ann Martin & her husband Dan of Randolph and H. James Curtin, Jr. & his wife Mandy of Westwood and her 12 cherished grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Sr. Margaret Crowley, SCN, Dorothea Lyons, John, Daniel, Vincent, Joseph & William Crowley. Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Saturday morning at 10:30. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Friday, 4 to 8 PM. Interment in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to American Heart Assn., 300 5th Ave #6, Waltham, MA 02451.
