Mrs. Maria Cruz, of Taunton, died unexpectedly Sunday, December 13 in Morton Hospital. She was born 65 years ago in Arroyo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Teodoro Cruz and Hipolita Rodriguez. She was educated in Puerto Rico and had been a Taunton resident for the past 7 years. A very devoted Catholic, Maria was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Taunton. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.
She leaves: 3 daughters: Joselyn, Marilyn, and Maria Mejias all of Taunton; 3 grandchildren: Jessie and Joshua Lopes, and Kiarelys Campos, and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, W. Britannia Street, Taunton, on Wednesday, December 23 at 11:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
