Obituary

Robert A. Bonneau, 61, of South Dartmouth died Monday June 6, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital after brief illness.

Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Ernest and Helena (Carter) Bonneau, he had lived in Dartmouth for most of his life.

Mr. Bonneau was employed as a machine operator at New England Rope in Fall River.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a recipient of the the National Defense Service medal. He was a member of American Legion Post 166 in Fairhaven and the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his companion, Deborah Nunes of South Dartmouth; two sons, Richard Bonneau of South Dartmouth and Michael Bonneau of Bradenton, Fla.; two daughters, Yvette Duarte of Falmouth and Charlene Goodfellow of New Bedford; two sisters, Norma Richard and Florence Bonneau, both of New Bedford; seven grandchildren; and two nieces.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, Thursday June 9, 2005 from 6-9 PM.
