Arthur W. “Bill” Menard, 63, passed into eternal life after being stricken at home surrounded by the care and comfort of his family on Mon., Dec. 7, 2015. He was born in Springfield on Sept. 8, 1952, a beloved son of the late Charles R. and Beverly T. (Joslyn) Menard. He was raised in Chicopee and was nearly a lifelong resident of the city. He was last employed at the Titeflex Company in Springfield. Bill loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most of all he loved to be on the open road riding his Harley. He was a member of the Chicopee Sportsmen’s Club and a life member of the NRA. Bill was a man who cherished his family and his many friends. He leaves his wife and best friend of 38 years, Linda M. (Mach) Menard. He also leaves his 3 loving children, Cheri L Baranowski of Chicopee, William A. Menard and his wife, Alisha of Chicopee and Heather A. Menard of Chicopee; 4 cherished grandchildren whom he adored, Jason, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Seth Menard; his brother, Gerard Menard of Chicopee; 3 sisters, Michelle Cote and her husband, Leo of Ludlow, Jeanne Phiffer of Ware and Marie Bourguignon of Chicopee. He also has many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and extended family. In addition, he will also be missed by his loving faithful dog, “Daisy”. Visiting hours will be Fri., Dec., 11th from 4-6 p.m. with a prayer service at 6 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA.
