Alice (Olshewski) Shelsky, 84 of Medway died Friday, November 20, 2015 in the MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham. She was the wife of the late Leon Shelsky.
Born in Flushing, NY to the late Vincent and Olga (Mischvitchz) Olshewski, Mrs. Shelsky was a resident of Medway for the past 50 years.
Alice enjoyed spending time with her German Shepherd dogs, cats, singing and being with people. She sang each week at the Medway Country Manor for 50 years. She also loved her costume jewelry and amassed a collection for every occasion and outfit!
Alice was an active member at the Medway Village Church, the Red Hat Society and the Rebekahs chapter in Medway. She will be remembered by all as having a cheerful attitude most of the time, always laughing and able to see the humor in most situations, even when it was at her own expense.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Shelsky of Medway and her partner, Dennis McCroy. She is also by her sister Anne Bachner of Palm Bay, FL who says “Although we may have lived far apart, you were never far from my heart. I love and will miss you.”
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12th at 9:00 AM in the Medway, Village Church, 170 Village St., Medway.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery immediately following.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in her name to Medway Village Church, 170 Village St., Medway, MA 02053
