Donna L. (Hughes) Murphy, 54, of Whitman, passed away on November 27th. She was the beloved wife of 33 years to John Murphy.
Donna was born in Brockton, step-daughter of Carol Hughes and daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Schmidt) Hughes.
She grew up in Randolph and was a graduate of Randolph High School. Donna has been a Whitman resident for 25 years. She worked as an assistant manager for the Dollar Tree.
Her family was the joy of her life.
In addition to her husband John and step-mom Carol, she leaves her children Sean Murphy, Cory Murphy and his wife Emily all of Whitman, her brothers Gary Hughes and his wife Kathy of Holbrook, Robert Hughes and his wife Janell of Raynham, her sister Caroline Winslow and her husband Dave of Brockton. She was also the mother of the late Keri Murphy and sister of the late Edward Hughes; also many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral services will be held on Thursday December 10th at 7:00PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(RT 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. Her visiting hours will be held prior to her service from 3:00-7:00PM. Burial will be private. Donations may be made in her name to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West/Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445-9924
