John K. Santora, age 84, of Brockton, died Sunday, December 6, 2015 at South Shore Hospital following a brief illness. He was the son of the late John and Helen (D’Acutia) Santora. Born and raised in Union City, NJ, he was a graduate of Emerson High School. He was an Air Force Veteran of Korea, and had been a resident of Brockton for over 65 years. John retired from the Brockton Post Office as a letter carrier after many years. John loved to travel, sing, entertain, golf with Cliff and Jeremy, cook, and be with family and friends. He was also an avid Yankees and Patriots fan, and adored his dogs and cats and all animals.
He is survived by his former wife and best friend Lorraine (Petronelli) Santora; two daughters, Donna Santora and her husband Rich and Marie Santora Norling and her husband Clifford; granddaughter Tara McKeraghan; great grandson Jeremy Phaneuf; great granddaughter Aoife Bourdon; a sister Helen Marie Santora; nieces Brenda Malave and Diane Susi, as well as many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday 10-11am with a funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1pm.
