Kenneth E. "Ted" Brook, 71, a lifelong resident of New Bedford, passed away December 6, 2015 after a long illness. He was the loving husband of Laura (Gobeil) Brook and son of the late George Brook and Alice (Holt) Brook.
He was a graduate of New Bedford High School. Mr. Brook worked as a lifeguard for the city of New Bedford and later worked for the New Bedford Housing Authority for 33 years. He enjoyed sailing, antique cars, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; his daughter Danielle, and her husband James McSweeney of Franklin, MA; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Kyra. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Brook and nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 9th at 11 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park Street, New Bedford, MA. His family will receive guests on Wednesday morning from 10 AM - 11 AM prior to his service. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery.
