Milligan, Betty A., of Newton and Rocky Neck, passed away peacefully on December 2. Born 98 years ago, she was predeceased by her parents, Charles J. Milligan and Edith B. Milligan and her best friend, Irene Grynkiewicz. As an artist, she was an active participant in the Rocky Neck Art Colony in Gloucester, MA for many years and a Life Member of the Copley Society of Art in Boston, MA. She is survived by her special friends: Nancy Grynkiewicz-Smith and Anthony L. Smith and their god-daughter, Vanessa Flaherty, Mary and Joseph Doolin and their sons, Joel, Seth and Matthew, Audrey and Robert Knight and their daughter, Julia, and her wonderful aides who provided love and care over the years, Cissy Roach, Pearline Williamson, Rose Kyeswa, Judith NaMakula and Molly Kisangye.
Visiting hour will be on Monday, December 7 in the Robert J. Lawler & Crosby Funeral Home, 1803 Centre St., West Roxbury from noon to 1:00pm followed by brief service at 1:00 pm and procession to the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery, 670 Baker St., West Roxbury.
