George J. Michaud, 62, of Litchfield, NH passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 23, 2015 at his home in Destin, FL. He was born on March 2, 1953 in Lawrence, MA, a son of the late Wilfred and Bertha (Broughton) Michaud.
George was best known for his sense of humor, wisdom, and bright orange pick-up truck known as "The Pumpkin". He was an avid music fan and guitar player, and loved to sing "Little Surfer Girl" to his daughter Lindsey. You may have seen George in a muscle car, on a motorcycle, at the beach, or more likely watching the Celtics, Patriots or Sox. His love for his family and friends cannot be overstated.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey Michaud and Christopher Michaud of Delray Beach, FL; one daughter, Lindsey James of Stratham, NH; ex-wife, Diane Michaud of Litchfield, NH; sister, Audrey Rundquist, sister, Elaine Menard; and brother Raymond Michaud.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours were held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5 -7 pm in the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Take Stock in Children Palm Beach County - www.takestockpalmbeach.org - an organization he took great interest in.
