James Edward Scott, 75 passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015.
He was a retired pipefitter for Kentuckiana Sprinkler, a member of the Huron Muzzle Loaders Club and a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Nancy Grubbs; brother, Donald Scott; daughter, Jamie Scott; and granddaughter, Katy Glascock.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 43 years, Thelma (Prather) Scott; his children, Ronald Scott (Sharon), Michael Scott, Susie Schafer (Gary), Tina Smiley (Rick) and Dale Hibbs (Bonnie); 15 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and his sister, Shirley James (Luther).
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Big Springs United Methodist, Highway 35, Big Springs, KY with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway and on Thursday after 12:00 p.m. at Big Springs United Methodist Church.
