NORTHFIELD – Richard Eugene Mudgett, 77, of 59 Scribner Road, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 in his home.
He was born on July 10, 1938 in Laconia, the son of the late Edward E. and Mary E. (Batchelder) Mudgett. Richard served in the Army National Guard from 1962 to 1964. He worked for several years as a machinist for such companies as Molex and Scott & Williams. He loved golf, darts and playing cribbage. He was known as a loving, caring and dedicated man.
He is survived by his two sons; Michael J. Mudgett and his wife Ann of Tilton and Stephen C. Mudgett of Northfield, one daughter, Laura J. Pelchat of Laconia, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one brother, Dennis Mudgett. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rose (Brake) Mudgett in 2008, one daughter, Cathy Jean Mudgett, one brother, John Mudgett and one sister, Donna Lowe.
Calling hours will be held from 4PM to 6:30PM on Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance. Funeral services will immediately follow at 6:30PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
