Obituary

LEICESTER: Jeanne L. (LaPlante) Charbonneau, 79, of Ryans Way in the Rochdale section of Leicester died Wednesday, Nov. 25 in St. Vincent Hospital.
She leaves four sons; David G. Charbonneau and his wife Debra of Auburn, Eric J. Charbonneau and his wife Donna of Rutland, Kenneth M. Charbonneau and his wife Colleen of Paxton and Kevin M. Charbonneau of Pacific Palisades, CA, nine grandchildren; Derek, Sarah and her husband Dan, Deanna and her husband Marcos, Kyle, Erica, Emily, Monica, Nicolas & Elise and a great-grandson Noah. She was pre-deceased by a brother Norman LaPlante and a sister Lorraine LaPlante.
Mrs. Charbonneau was born in Worcester, daughter of Joseph V. and Marie (Forget) LaPlante. She graduated from Holy Name of Jesus High School in 1954 and St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1957. She was a trustee of Monson Developmental Center. During her years in the nursing profession she worked in many hospitals throughout the city as well as the VNA. She was a certified Occupational Health Nurse and a Certified Case Manager. Nursing was not only a profession but was a vocation. Jeanne was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed her many friends, neighbors and extended family.
The funeral will be held Monday, November 30 from MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 489 Pleasant Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are Sunday, November 29 from 4:00-7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saint Vincent Hospital Education and Research Fund, Inc. - Alex Drapos Scholarship, 123 Summer Street, Worcester, MA 01608.
