Hanson – Lewis A. “Lou” Casoli 75, a lifelong resident of Hanson, died Thursday November 26. He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Virginia E. (Parker) Casoli.
Born in Brockton and raised in Hanson he was the son of the late Igino and Julia (Pinnini) Casoli and prior to enlisting in the service he had attended Whitman High School.
Lou was a veteran of the US Air Force having served with the 9th Organizational Maintenance Squadron from 1959 to 1962.
He had been the owner and operator of the locally familiar “C&S Refrigeration” which he had started in 1978. Over the years, Lou had earned a reputation for the quality of his work and had taken pride seeing his business succeed. He had always been quick to help those in need regardless of their financial situation.
He had enjoyed restoring his antique truck, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. Lou had been a truly remarkable father to his loving and special needs son Jeremy.
In addition to his wife Virginia he is survived by his loving children David Casoli and his wife Lynne of Whitman, Lisa Casoli of Taunton, Marc Casoli of Boston, Jeremy Casoli of Hanson, Andrew Casoli of Plymouth and Matthew Casoli and his girlfriend Katie Tracy of Marshfield and his sister Roseann Wyman of Halifax. He is also survived by his grandchildren Leanne, Antonia and Austin as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Casoli.
His services will be held Saturday December 5 at 11 AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. A private burial will be held at a later date. Visiting hours will be held Friday December 4 from 12:00-3:00 and 5:00-8:00 PM.
