Jean Marie Maher age 64 of Norwell, formerly of Milton passed away November 25th at home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Boston, she was raised in Milton and was a proud member of the Milton High School Class of 1969 and attended Chandler School for Women. She was an Executive Assistant for T.A. Associates in Boston for 5 years and previously worked as an Office Manager for Starr, Finer and Starr CPA’s in Brighton for 25 years. Jean loved to travel, especially cruises to the Caribbean and Europe. She enjoyed quilting, was an avid reader, loved to plan parties with her family and friends, lived life to the fullest and cherished every moment she spent with her family. Beloved wife of 39 years of Richard P. Mother of Kevin R. Maher of Norwell and Allison St. Gelais and her husband Nathan of Abington. She is survived by two loving brothers who were by her side throughout her illness, John R. Gallagher of Norton and David F. Gallagher and his wife Maritza and their daughter Raquel of Milton and a sister in law Anne Marie Maher of Halifax. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors who were by her side throughout her illness. Also survived by a brother William Gallagher of Milton. Funeral mass at St. Agatha Church Milton Monday morning at 10:30. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral home 326 Granite Ave Milton Sunday 3-7 pm. Burial at Milton Cemetery.
