Clauise Magers
October 30, 1924- November 24, 2015



Clauise (Gimlin) Magers, 91, of Anderson, went home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2015.

She was born on October 30, 1924 in Doniphan, MO, the daughter of Ivan and Vera (King) Gimlin. She graduated from Doniphan High School in 1942 and had lived in Anderson since 1951, where she worked as the Director of Postal Services at Anderson University for 20 years retiring in 1991. She was active at South Meridian Church of God, and also with Women of the Church of God, Rise and Shine Seniors, and International Management Club of Madison County. She also volunteered for 20 years as a clerical assistant with the Victims Assistance Unit of the Anderson Police Department.

She is survived by three children: Lessa Hogue Johnson and husband Paul, and Lorri Hogue Kavich both of Anderson, and Amy Hogue Wells and husband Rick of Elwood. three grandchildren: Christopher Harless and wife Julia Brumbaugh, Ryan Kavich and wife Bethany, and Andrew Kavich and fiance' Kelly Bowden. Great grandchildren; Joseph and Joshua Harless, Norah, Holden and Munro Kavich; two sisters: Margaret Beth McCord, and Donnie Gwaltney and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by first husband, William Burley Hogue, second husband, Paul B. Magers, 2 brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 1 PM, at South Meridian Church of God with Pastor Dale Landis officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service.


Memorial contributions may be given to South Meridian Church of God, for the Legacy Fund.
