Charles “Charlie” Capraro passed away on November 13, 2015 at Winchester Hospital. He was 95.
Charlie was the beloved husband of Mary (Lauretano) with whom he shared 66 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of daughter Christine and son Charles Jr. He was the loving brother of Louis and his wife Dorothy. Charles was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Beatrice (Montalbano), his sisters Josephine Mione and Catherine LaFauci and brothers Anthony, Paul, Salvatore and Vito. He was survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
A "Triple Eagle", Charlie was a graduate of Boston College High, Boston College and Boston College Law and was a licensed attorney for 66 years.
He served four terms as a Massachusetts State Representative and was and instructor of Real Estate Law for Lee Institute. Charlie was a member of the Medford Lodge of Elks and served two terms as Exalted Ruler. A devout Catholic, Charlie was a member of St Francis of Assisi Parish for 54 years.
Charlie will be remembered as a kind and compassionate man, a champion for the underdog, he was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.
Private funeral services were held on November 18th with a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Services concluded with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
