
Priscilla (Lambert) Moreau 87, formerly a lifelong Woonsocket resident, died Saturday in Scalabrini Villa, North Kingstown surrounded by angels. She was the wife of the late Louis A. Moreau.
Priscilla was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Theodore and Albertine (Lacourse) Lambert. She worked as a teller for the former Woonsocket Institution for Savings, and as a secretary for a local real estate title insurance company retiring in 1985.
“Aunt Puts” as she was known by many, was adored by everyone who knew her. Family and friends alike saw her for the kind and gentle soul she was.
She had the gift of music and had been an accomplished pianist since childhood, later volunteering her talents to the Woonsocket RSVP Senior Services Chorale. “Mama Cilla” loved to cook in the French Canadian tradition, and her recipes were enjoyed by all who graced her table. Priscilla was a devout Catholic and also attended Al-Anon for many years
She is survived by her cherished son Richard P. Moreau of Warwick, as well as several nieces and nephews and their children. She loved them all dearly. She was also the loving mother of the late Michael J.J. Moreau, and sister of the late Normand, Raymond, and Valdor Lambert.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in St. Agatha’s Church, Joffre Ave, Woonsocket.
